A quickie

I just wanted to briefly let everyone know that I am moving within the next two days, back to Cleveland, Oh-hi-oooo so I may be a bit behind with shop-related schtuffs. It shouldn't take me long to get back to business, but just in case something goes horrible awry, I wanted to give notice.

I'm also working on a trying to figure out what to do for the giveaway for the Etsy Chatters Team blog and I have some love to give to a few fellow Etsians.

Look for this stuff soon!

Okay, sometimes I goof. (Reposting the giveaway and sale)

I just realized that initially, when posting about this giveaway, I put the incorrect number of hearts...d'oh!

I'm almost at 400 (not 300) hearts! Woot. So you know what that means...

IT'S GIVEAWAY TIME! This time I'm going to try something a touch different. You can comment here to enter as always (or convo me on Etsy/email me at nemesisn72@yahoo.com) but I'm going to allow people to enter multiple times to increase their chances by blogging or twittering about this giveaway or purchasing. :) So, for example you post a blog about it (on here, myspace, facebook etc), you get another "entry". All I ask is that you post a comment with the link(s) of the places you've posted about this giveaway, up to 3 times maximum. Be sure to include a link in your entry of this post. So that means you can have up to 4 entries! If you make a purchase, please be sure to note in your buyer comments that you want to enter the giveaway.

This giveaway is for a bar of soap up to $5.50 and either a bath bomb or lip balm of your choice. :) Hooray! Once the winner is chosen (upon reaching that 400th heart), I will post the winner here and also contact you and then you can choose your prizes.

I'm also having a moving sale, as I need to move out of state in about a week, so help me lighten my load. I'm giving 10% off anything except samples and gift certificates until midnight EST Sunday, April 26th.

Happy shopping!

PS What scents do you like for bath bombs? I'm going to make more, but I want to be sure I have what people want in stock for when I pick the winner.

You know, it's interesting.

I sat down today and figured out just how much money from my business I have directly contributed to the running of the household since one my husband's bitches is that I never help him financially (among a long list of other things, all basically b.s. by the way).

I added everything up from just my PayPal account since getting my debit card, and it turns out that I actually, if you average that total out over the past 3 months, match if not very slightly exceed what he gives me for the household. (When I say household I mean anything having to do with keeping us alive and comfortable, from pet food and supplies to toilet paper, groceries, gas, laundry etc) Also, if I were to get a part-time, minimum wage job I would be making LESS on average than I currently make with my Etsy shop. And this is after no paid advertising (other then some sample swaps, which I haven't actually done in well over a month) and spending the absolute bare minimum on supplies and equipment.

My business is sputtering along, but it is obviously doing better then even I thought.

And also, I have been working in my undies. How's that for awesome?

My Myspace Profile (for my shop) and some personal schtuff

For those who wish to add me, you can find my shop profile here: Yep, you know you want to look You can also find my personal profile in my friends...I put myself first. ;p

So I will soon be packing for my move back to Cleveland. I have to say I'm feeling rather insecure about this in a great number of ways, and I doubt any real reassurance will be forthcoming. Nothing like being stared at like a monkey doing a math problem when you mention trips home! Makes a girl feel so loved and wanted, let me tell you.

On the other hand, I will be beyond glad to get away from this hellhole of negativity, stupidity, and backstabbing. I've met a handful of genuinely nice people here, and I mean none of this toward you, but my experience here has been basically one big pile of crap from the first day I found out my husband planned on staying here permanently.

I wake up every day wishing we hadn't left TN. While I was very lonely there too, at least things were a great deal more equitable, and I saw a hell of a lot more potential for us as a couple and our future there. It's been very one-sided since we left, and I'm done with that. Plus, I refuse to give up my cats. I will not give this place one more ounce of my blood or soul. It doesn't deserve it.

So, yeah, moving back to Cleveland is exciting me a hell of a lot more then it should, and otherwise would under different circumstances. I plan to spend as much time with people I haven't seen in a while and I'm sure my dad will be happy to have me around for a while.

In business news I have a domain name, now I just need to learn to build the site. A lovely friend has sent me software with templates, so I will probably launch that soon after arriving back in Cleveland (I refuse to call it home, as Chicago is the only place that has ever really felt like home to me). I would like an alternative to Etsy for selling, as that venue, while I have met a great deal of lovely people and mostly enjoy it, has made some decisions and admin runs things in ways that are not very business saavy and I don't want to put all of my eggs in one basket. Plus it will be nice to sell things and not have someone take a cut, above and beyond the monthly fee. It's a dot net, because I wanted to keep the name the same to avoid confusion and the dot com was already taken.

Anyway, it's time to go get some caffeine to try and wake myself up. I'm dragging butt today.

Spring Fertility Festival Time!

Or, Easter. Or Zombie Savior Day for you zombie lovers out there. Whatever you choose to celebrate, enjoy yourself. (I mean no offense to any particular religious persuasion I just have a very off sense of humor.)

Here, have a bunny and a chick.

So much to say...

...and none of it is nice or happy. So I'll just keep it simple and to the point.

I cannot wait to get the hell away from this place. I've officially decided that I will never live here long-term again. If my husband decides to stay on (and he's crazy if he does, but I'm starting to think that maybe he is rather insane...it's that whole doing the same things over and over again thing...), then I will only be with him when he's not here.

I can't take the toxicity and negative crap anymore. One of us has to keep our head and stay clear of that stuff, and I'm determined that it will be me if it can't be both of us.

SNS SALE TIME, and a sales landmark

Yep, it's that time again.

15% off everything in my shop excluding samples and gift certificates. Refunds via PayPal (or convo me and I will reserve a custom listing for you if you don't use PayPal).

This sale is in effect until midnight EST Sunday, April 5.

Also, I'm a mere 4 sales away from hitting 200! If you purchase from me and hit that number, you will get a free gift of your choosing as a thank you.

Happy Shopping!

A bit of lovely feedback and a TNT sale

I somewhat recently did a custom order for some wedding favors for someone and they were incredibly happy with the end result. I did some jasmine shea butter and rose petal glycerin soap samples wrapped in beige and brown tulle for them and I think they turned out rather nicely. Pretty, simple, and practical.

She gave me the feedback for her order today, and it was very nice. My favorite part was the photo she sent of the favor display (the bottom image).

Also, tonight of course is another TNT (Thursday Night Special) Sale!

For tonight only! 30% off anything in my shop but samples and gift certificates! So stock up!

Refunds will be given via paypal, or you can convo me and I will reserve and adjusted listing for you if you do not use that payment method. This sale is in effect until 12 noon EST Friday, April 3rd.

Happy shopping!
