I am blogger inept. How the hell do you get links to work on this stupid thing?

Giving a Little Love to My Friends

I know some amazingly wonderful Etsy people, and since this is my shop blog, I feel it's high time I spread some love to a few of the lovely people I've met on Etsy, as well as a few of my dear friends in real life. I'm hoping to do this on a regular basis, so if you aren't in this list, please don't be offended! I can't possibly list all of my friends and favorites in one post. There's just too many of you.

First off, my good friend Smiss, who I've known for years, who makes cute things for your hair, and other stuff:

My friend Kassi, who is full of the awesome, super cute, and one hell of a musician, classically trained even (and she's in Cruciform Injection, who I just adore). Her shop is really new, so there's not much there, but keep an eye out for more, as she's one creative little lady:

And here's ClemArt Design, who's name is rather self-explanatory. She does all kinds of kick-butt banners for your shop, as well as just about any other design stuff you might want or need:

Last for today, but definitely not least, is this super fun, totally cute and sassy gal who's stuff will make you squeal with girlie glee, littlepapoose. Who can resist little ninja bunnies?! I mean seriously, who?:

And there you have it! I'm going to try to do this at least once a week. :)

I'm so touched

I've been chosen for another treasury! I always dance with a bit of joy whenever that happens, and consider it a huge honor and compliment.

I just got back from a rather large show this past weekend in New Jersey and I am completely whooped.

I didn't sell a whole bunch, which is sort of a bummer, but I had a really good time. It was so nice to do something that's more my thing. I've missed having fun and being social, and definitely need to be able to travel more and see the people I care about.

I'll post more later, and maybe even some pictures. I didn't get to take nearly as many as I would have liked, but I'm sure that other people made up for it. I'll try to find the link to the albums that other people have posted, for those who might be curious. I also have a bunch of new things to list, and more in the works.

Son of a...

*head desk*

Okay, so I'm rather screwed for this weekend's show. I ordered over $100 worth of supplies from this gal, who's been super cool, but she somehow forgot that I needed the stuff like last week so I'm 99.9% not likely to get it tomorrow. I need to be on the road to Jersey by noon at the latest on Friday, so of course the stuff will show up on Friday.

I'm going to go cry and panic now kthx.

I really think I'm not meant to actually go to this show, because nothing is working out for it.

Just in case anyone wanted to add me.

I can't get into the Etsy chat room I want to join. :(

I've been waiting for 20 minutes at least, and every time someone leaves someone else beats me into the room.

Curse you full chat room!

*shakes fist at it*

25 random things meme (xposted from facebook)

1. My first goal is move back to IL, and as close to Chicago as possible, as soon as possible. I can't even adequately describe just how much I hate it here. Words cannot effectively express it. They really can't.

2. It's hard keeping a balance between wanting to be supportive of my husband's goals and not neglecting my own.

3. All you crazy ass bitches best just stay away. No more Mrs. Nice Lori. THE GLOVES ARE OFF.

4. Bath and body products are quickly taking over my life.

5. I love taking pictures, especially of abandoned places. Urban exploration rules.

6. The fact that my husband likes to watch reality shows just bugs the shit out of me. Gods are they awful, and "Rock of Love" makes me want just scream and turn in my vagina card.

7. I miss my nieces and nephew.

8. I hope to be able to visit my mom while she's in Arizona. I've never been there.

9. I definitely need to travel more. Lots more. There's too many people I miss.

10. I'm looking forward the event this weekend, kind of. I'm terrified that I'm going to be unable to control my urge to mock Furries and I know for a fact that the music is going to mostly suck. It's going to be the same tired shit I've been hearing at clubs for over a decade which makes me mad because I haven't been to an even remotely scene oriented event in damn near a year. I hope there's lots of cool steampunk stuff though. I'm vending, so I need to play nice.

11. I need to start working out again.

12. I want to learn how to crochet, and expand my knowledge of lotions and such.

13. I really wish I had the space to make cold process soap.

14. I am so boring anymore. Maybe it's because I hate it here and I have no life except Etsy.

15. I love Etsy chat. Srsly.

16. I hope to get back into dj'ing. Oh how I misses it!

17. It would be rad to go to GenCon again. Just because. I could use some serious geek time.

18. My DVR is a dangerous thing. There are just way too many good tv shows on right now.

19. I hope to launch my own website some time this year. Etsy is rad, but it would be nice to have an alternative. I've looked into other sites, and most of them just aren't as nice as Etsy.

20. Going back to school would be sweet.

21. I aim to find a place where both my husband and I can be content and do things we like. Our relationship has been rather one-sided for too long. I admire what he's trying to do, and he's beyond talented, and I know there's a better place for us.

22. I'm working on some wholesale deals. That's super awesome.

23. I miss playing video games. I honestly just don't have the time anymore. The man got me a system that plays old NES games, which rules, and I've barely touched it. I got Dr. Mario, Tetris and the first two Super Mario games. Oooh, and it plays Nintendo 64 stuff too. Zelda is next baby. I used to be able to play Dr. Mario until I couldn't see straight. Like all night. Literally.

24. I've become rather reclusive. It's a huge defense mechanism because of all the bullshit that's gone down here.

25. I have gotten really bad at keeping in touch with people. I need to remedy that. I used to be so social, and it was always so easy for me to get along with others and have fun. I miss myself.

The hubby with one of his birds (Ghost, his juvenile male American Goshawk). Sorry it's not the best quality as it was taken with my camera phone.

Aw! eye4art put me in a treasury on their blog. :)

Thanks so much! I want to learn how to do that!

Happy Saturday night! :D (and Happy V-Day, for those who celebrate it)

This sale is good from 5pm 2/14 EST to 12pm EST 2/15.

My SNS is buy 3 items, get one item of equal or lesser value 1/2 off! This is good on anything in my shop (however, if you buy a gift certificate, that will not be a half off item, something else will be). :)

I ship internationally as well! Refunds will be sent via paypal, and please know that 3 or more soaps or bath or body products go to priority mail in the US. :) If you don't have paypal, convo me and I will reserve your listings for you and adjust them accordingly.

I took a walk today.

In the park even. It was easily 60 some degrees outside, and I felt like spoiling myself.

Thus far, it was the highest point of my life in a very long time.

*insert large sigh here*

I took some pictures, as I've been neglecting the shutterbug in me, so hopefully I will find some time to edit and post them. (I can hear my flickr account crying from neglect as I type this).

Esque tagged me!

Esque tagged me and now I am supposed to list 8 random things about myself and then tag 8 other bloggers. Here it goes:

1) I sing to my kitties when no one is around.

2) I adore Jensen Ackles and Andy LePlegua. Sooooo fine. One is totally vanilla, and one is super hot and tattooed. Can we say polar opposites?

3) I have some seriously hot clothes collecting dust. Man, I miss my life.

4) I've modeled in fashion shows.

5) I have a weakness for Jones Soda and Vanilla Coke.

6) I love the ocean.

7) I have a serious weakness for shiny, sparkly things.

8) I have an almost fetish-like love of books. I even sleep with books in my bed. Always.

I'm supposed to tag eight people, but I don't know how to post links in here yet. :( So the eight people following my blog currently can do this (excluding Esque, which would make the ninth)

So, um, yeah...

Somehow I feel like I've ended up right where I started.

Not good really.

Sometimes, I have to resist the extreme urge to grab something large and smack someone very close to me upside the head with it until I knock whatever has become dislodged back into place.

I know what's it's like to live in denial, to work so hard for something that you lose sight of the fact that you are in a bad place and hurting the people who actually matter. What's really bad is when you are dragging someone down with you because you a) refuse to do what you promised and b) have lost perspective on the big picture.

Just because a place is familiar (and therefore "safe", in that negative, toxic way) doesn't mean it doesn't reek of shit.

*holds nose*

I just hope that eyes are opened, and that the security blanket is is burned, and that we can move on to a place that's better for both of us. Because baby, this IS NOT IT. I feel like I'm drowning, and that I'm pretty much all alone. We both deserve so much better then this.

Moving on to happier mundane things, I'm having a sale in my Etsy shop, for tonight only. (until 6am tomorrow morning)

It's a weekly thing on Etsy to have a SNS (Saturday Night Special Sale) every Saturday.

They sound so fun, that I'm going to start doing it every week myself.

Happy Saturday night everyone! :D

Stock up on stuff sale! BUY FOUR ITEMS GET THE FIFTH ONE FREE! (of equal or lesser value please

I ship internationally :) Any shipping charges that end up being more then $1 over what I charged are automatically refunded. This amount automatically goes to priority mail with insurance and delivery confirmation!

PS I should be in Cleveland at the Combichrist show right now. Hi, my life is so lame anymore.

Something cute to make me less pissed

Okay, I'm still mad, but I love my Little Bunny FooFoo.

I kinda hate PayPal right now. Seriously.

They screwed up and tried to charge my bank account instead of taking funds from my PayPal balance (which of course would make sense) so now I'm in the hole almost $75 in fees and such. I emailed multiple times, and even tried to call, but after being on hold for 10 minutes the system hung up on me today. So after going back and forth a few times I get an email from them telling me that since my account is verified that means my bank account is my backup source of funding blah blah blah. As if I was not aware of that.

Basically it told me that it was my fault and they weren't going to do anything about it.

How nice of them.

Can someone please come up with another online checkout that works properly most of the time, and that rectifies mistakes?! I swear if I had the technical knowledge and financial backing I would so do it myself.

F PayPal, and F Ebay.

I hates them. This is the second time in about 3 months that said company has messed up my bank account and my credit card. The grand total in damages is somewhere in the range of $350.
